A special thanks to all who came out to Blackhorn 51 last night! It was an awesome night and the audience was on fire!
Tonight was special because we were short our guitar player but we pushed through and performed anyway and we nailed it! It was so wonderful to know that we touched people's lives and made people happy with our music. We made new friends and fans and enjoyed other great artists who played. It was truly a magical night!
Thanks to our fans! You make all the hard work so worth it!!! Shalimar!
Here are 3 Lessons Learned from the Blackhorn 51 Show:
1) You Have To Take Risks:
- Preachermann & The Revival lost his guitar player at the last minute due to an family emergency.
- The band was also playing with a new keyboardist who hadn't had a chance to practice with the band.
- Preachermann made an executive decision to go on with the show and the band knocked it out the park.
- The audience loved us and we wouldn't have met our new fans if we didn't show up.
- You have to show up!
2) Always Bring Your A-Game:
- One band stood out from the crowd, Concrete Dreams (a hiphop/EDM/hardcore metal crossover project)
- They were the last act of the night and most people had left. They played as if there were 1,000 of people in the audience
- They were polished, dynamic and professional. They totally blew me away and made me a believer in their music
- I spoke to the drummer, Juan afterwards. He said the band has been working hard for 2 years and they are finally starting to make strides. They have a song coming out on a new Netflix show and they are trending on Spotify. It was so inspiring as an artist to see them.
3) You Have To Put Yourself Out There and Network:
- You never know who you will meet and what will inspire you.
- You should collaborate with other artists to cross promote and each will gain new fans.
- I met so many great fans and artists also we had new people who saw us.
It was an incredible night of music, beautiful people and good vibes!!!
