Benita & Patience, The Lion at the NYPL

A funny thing happened to me at the New York Public Library the other day, I was minding my own business when one of the library staff asked me if I wanted to take a picture with Patience, the Lion, the NYLP Mascot.  I said no and I was going on my merry little way. Usually, when you say no to a person, they leave you alone. However, she was persistent and she said, "yes you do.  You know you want to take a picture!" Again, I said, "no, I don't."  Still persisting, she said, "you know you want to take a picture. Put your things down and take a picture!"

After all of that persistence, I finally took the picture.  I was thrilled.  Patience, the Lion made my day!

Sometimes you have to live a little.  Always cherish the little things in life!

Happy Holidays!
